Provincial Health Order Requirements Extended to December 7, 2020

The provincial health order has been extended to December 7, 2020. More details are available at:

https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/safety/emergency-preparedness-response-recovery/covid-19-provincial-support/restrictions

If you plan to work onsite during this time, please take the daily online BC COVID-19 Self Assessment Tool and report to your supervisor/manager/PI/ or centre staff on site that day that you are not exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.

Do not come to work if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. Wear a mask (blue surgical or cloth with 3 layers) when entering the hospital and while working at HLI. You can temporarily remove it if working alone/in an office alone.

Clean surfaces such as door handles, benches, bathroom taps and other multi touch surfaces after use and wash your hands frequently. Maintain a physical distance of 2 meters.

As we are on a hospital site, Providence Health Care asks that if you have any of the symptoms listed below that you consider going for COVID-19 testing and email Occupational Health and Safety at medinfo@providencehealth.bc.ca and include the date, your work site and your test results when known.

  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Runny nose or congestion
  • Loss of appetite
  • Sore throat
  • Fatigue, muscle aches, or weakness
  • Headache
  • Cough

  • Subjective fever or sweats
