To All HLI Staff and Students:
The PROOF Centre is looking for volunteers to participate in a study called the RNA-Seq study. The study will create a rich collection of single cell-specific transcriptome profiles from the various cellular components of peripheral whole blood. This data will allow us, and the research community at large, to study the cell-specific biology of disease directly from single-cell blood transcriptomic data. It also stands to better our understanding of what makes these cells distinct and generally deepen our understanding of the human immune system.
We are looking for healthy volunteers between the ages of 50-75 with no existing medical conditions or allergies to donate one blood sample (approximately 2 teaspoons) one time only.
