Dear Colleagues,
As many of you already know, Friday, August 13, 2021 was my last day with Providence Airway Centre (PAC) and UBC Centre for Heart Lung Innovation (HLI).
Under the tireless leadership of Dr. Don Sin, I have had the honour and privilege of serving as the PAC Research Program Manager since Oct 2016. I truly cherished the unique opportunity to work with many of you – world-leading clinicians, researchers and partners – to discover new biomarkers and therapeutics for patients with chronic lung diseases. The vision of achieving precision medicine through the integration of multi-omics, data science, biobanking, biomedical engineering, imaging, experimental medicine, and partnerships is absolutely awe-inspiring.
Even though I will miss my PAC colleagues and the HLI big family, I am looking forward the new phase of my career with Merck Oncology. I will still be based in Vancouver, so let’s stay connected! Please feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn (https://ca.linkedin.com/in/cwtyang). I can also be reached at my personal email address (tony.yang.phd@gmail.com).
Thanks so much for all the wonderful memories. It’s been an inspirational journey working with all of you. I look forward to grabbing that coffee/tea with you soon. Stay safe everyone!
Best Wishes,
Tony Yang
