Annual Seasonal Shutdown and Holiday Tips
Before leaving for this holiday season, help save energy and keep valuables safe by taking some of these simple actions:
- Remember to: Shutdown fume hood sashes
- Shutdown all non-essential lab equipment
- Turn off office lights and electronic equipment
- Unplug small appliances
- Close windows, blinds and curtains
- Close and lock office and exterior building doors & windows
- Lock away laptops and any external data devices
- Lock valuable personal property out of sight or taking it home
- Make sure taps are securely turned off
- Reporting any air or water leaks to MOM Emergency Phone 604 813 0476
As required, schedule someone to check LN levels in your dewars, distilled water levels and CO2 tanks for your incubators over the holiday period
Note: The ERT does not respond to CO@ call-ins, this is the responsibility of the designated room manager.
The centre will close Friday, December 23, 2022 and reopen Tuesday, January 3, 2023. Please follow safety protocols and working alone procedures if you are on site during the holiday closure.
