Staff Vaccination Clinics at SPH Conference Centre

Hi HLI staff, students and PI’s,

We have rec’d news that there will be clinics setup to administer 2nd doses of the COVID-19 vaccine on site same as for the 1st dose.

SPH is currently administering 2nd doses to those who received their first dose in February and who have already registered for their 2nd dose and have an appointment. Many HLI members received their first dose in March, so we may be eligible to receive our 2nd dose on site in the next few weeks.

They will not be running a cancelled appointment last minute list as they did last time. Please follow the instructions and register below.

  • All staff must register in the provincial booking system in order to be notified of your eligibility to receive your second does. Your first dose of vaccine was recorded in the system, and now must be attached to your registration profile. To register, visit www.gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated.
  • Once registered, you will be notified by email or text when it’s time for you to book an appointment for your second dose. If you experience difficulty booking, please call 1-833-838-2323 (open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) for assistance.
  • Once you have received an invitation from the provincial Get Vaccinated system to book an appointment, you can book an appointment one of the following ways:
    • Option A – Book an appointment at a public vaccine clinics. This can be within VCH or other health authority clinics near you. Visit www.gov.bc.ca/getvaccinated to book your appointment.
    • Option B – Book an appointment at the SPH Conference Centre Second Dose Pfizer clinics June 1 and 3 here: https://vancouvercovid19vaccineclinic.janeapp.com/locations/st-paul-s-hospital/book
      * This clinic is for Providence staff and medical staff only * Unlike the public clinics, we are unable to vaccinate family members or children. Please do not forward the booking link to any family members or friends.
  • All staff must bring:
    • One-write/paper record from your first dose (yellow sheet)
    • PHC staff identification
    • Your notification of eligibility from the provincial booking system

For the limited onsite clinics, appointments will be first-come, first-served and will be released depending on available vaccine. If there are no appointments available, keep checking back.

Please note that even if you’re planning on attending an onsite clinic booked through the Jane App, we still ask that you register on the provincial platform.

Eligible staff and medical staff who book an appointment at the SPH Conference Centre via the Jane App link are responsible for cancelling any vaccination appointments they have already booked through the provincial system.

Thank you very much for doing your part to keep our patients, clients, residents and colleagues safe.
