Did you know that HLI has assigned spaces inside St. Paul’s Hospital totaling almost 51,000 sq ft. of floor space? In addition, we have roof top mounted equipment spanning over 11,000 sq ft. Keeping these spaces and the associated common lab equipment up and running falls, in a large part, to the Maintenance Department.
A sample of items we look after include:
Equipment
- Biological Safety Cabinets and Incubators
- Water Purification Systems
- Autoclaves
- Centrifuges
- Equipment Installation
- Freezers, Refrigerators and Ice Machines ( These units alone, makeup over 90+ pieces of equipment that we look after.)
- In addition, we assist all the Labs / Cores in maintaining their specialized equipment.
Facilities
- Minor Plumbing and Electrical Work
- Coordinating outside Contractors
- Office / Furniture moves
We are also the liaisons with the Hospital Physical Plant Dept. Coordinating repairs to systems such as:
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Electrical Power Distribution
- Painting and Carpentry Projects
